THE HUB @ DAVIDSON is a cutting-edge, LEED-certied facility that aims to both connect with and help build a vibrant Lake Norman-area technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship community. The Hub will bring students, faculty, companies, and community partners together, leveraging the intellectual capital of Davidson College and the unique 210 Delburg property.

Davidson is located 20 miles north of Charlotte, NC -- one of the nation’s fastest growing cities and leaders in tech job growth. Our communities, businesses and education institutions face a shared need to prepare for the new challenges of a changing economic and innovation landscape.
Project teams consist of 3-4 undergraduate students and 1 faculty member
$10K investment per cycle (plus project material costs)
Choose a 3-month cycle: FALL (September - November) SPRING (February - April)
Define project scope and execute partnership agreement

Davidson College’s RESEARCH, DATA + DESIGN (R+D2) PROGRAM connects forward-thinking companies with talented undergraduate students as a low-cost alternative to in-house research work, data analytics and problem solving. Small student teams -- led by a member of Davidson College faculty -- work on your unique problem, product or research question to produce a solution, design or analysis. In addition to high-quality deliverables, your company can gain exposure to potential hires who have a knack for tackling complex problems and a passion for building better futures.

Regular progress reports throughout cycle. Final presentation/hand-off by project team.
Option to provide regular mentoring to the porject team -- on the phone or in person.
